Textile is often the first firearm of the fire object, so it is particularly important to establish and improve the standard system of the textile flame retardant performance test. There are many testing methods for textile flame retardant performance, and currently, the commonly used testing methods are: the oxygen index method, vertical combustion method, horizontal combustion method, 45 combustion method, flame injection combustion test method, etc. Now we will first introduce two of the test methods.
① 45 Burning method
The test principle is: under the specified conditions, the specimen will be placed obliquely at an angle of 45 ° oblique, the specimen ignition 1 s, the specimen will have flame upward burning to a certain distance, record the time required to assess the intensity of the textile burning. For the flat fabric, take 10 pieces of size 150mm × 50mm sample test; for the pile fabric, the same size sample 20 pieces for testing. For the surface of the pile fabric, the bottom cloth ignition or melting phenomenon, as an additional indicator to assess the degree of burning intensity of the fabric, and need to be noted. The standard applies to the measurement of flammable textiles worn once ignited after the burning intensity and speed.
Using the 45 ° method of common standards are FZ/T 81001-2007 "pajama sets", 16 CFR part 1610 "taking textile flammability standard", Health Canada's SOR/2011-22 "textile flammability regulations" and ASTM D 1230 "taking textile combustion test method.

② Burrower combustion test method
The most common foreign standard using the torch combustion test method is 16 CFR part 1633 "mattress flammability standard", which applies to mattresses, and bed frames. The method for the entire mattress (bed frame) for testing, the test sample in the 30min test time, the peak heat release value must be ≤ 200kW; and, in the test before 10min, the total heat release must be ≤ 15MJ. test samples at least three, if a sample fails to meet the above two requirements, it is judged to be unqualified.
This is a 45 Degree Automatic Flammability Tester of textiles, in accordance with ASTM D1230, CRF 16-1610 standard, easy to operate, stable system, high accuracy, for determining the comparative burning rate and flame resistance of textiles, especially for textiles such as children's pajamas and clothing.
